The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society (SLRCS) wishes to alert the public, vendors, suppliers, and partners about fraudulent emails being circulated by individuals impersonating the organization. The fake email currently identified is:bidders@redcross-int.org Or any address related to redcross-int.org These individuals are falsely claiming to conduct procurement and bidding processes on behalf of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society. PLEASE NOTE:• The domain “redcross-int.org” is NOT an official Sierra Leone Red Cross Society domain.• SLRCS has no connection whatsoever with this email address or any procurement activity linked to it.• Members of the public are strongly advised NOT to send money, quotations, banking information, or confidential documents to this address.The matter is being escalated to relevant cybercrime and internet authorities for investigation and takedown.For verification of official SLRCS communications, kindly contact the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society through its verified official channels only. Training on Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI) Minimum Standards

The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society successfully concluded a three-day training on Protection, Gender and Inclusion (PGI) Minimum Standards for staff and volunteers drawn from headquarters and branch levels. The training was organized to strengthen the capacity of participants in mainstreaming PGI principles across humanitarian programs and operations, ensuring dignity, safety, accountability, and equal access for all, especially vulnerable and at-risk groups. Facilitated by the IFRC PGI Advisor alongside the SLRCS PGI Focal Point, the sessions focused on: Understanding and applying PGI Minimum Standards in humanitarian action.Identifying and mitigating risks related to exclusion, abuse, and violence.Strengthening inclusive programming and safeguarding practices.Enhancing accountability to affected populations through community engagement and practical tools.Using participatory learning methods, including group discussions, case studies, and practical exercises, participants gained valuable knowledge and skills to integrate PGI into project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. This initiative demonstrates the ongoing dedication of the Sierra Leone Red Cross Society to fostering inclusion, dignity, protection, and safeguarding in all its humanitarian activities and community engagements nationwide.
